Inscribed 14 Piccadilly

Some instruments bear an embossed shield inscribed “HAWKES & CO / 14 / PICCADILLY / LONDON”. This Hawkes & Co was an unrelated firm of tailors, hatters and military uniform suppliers who also sold some instruments.
