Collection of Historic Musical Instruments is organising a colloquium on the Violin
in Scotland, to be held in Edinburgh, Saturday 26 August 2006.
The Colloquium will present recent research on topics related to the making of violin family instruments in Scotland (all periods) and related aspects of repertoire and the social milieu of violin playing in Scotland. The Colloquium will be followed by a concert given by the Edinburgh Quartet using instruments by Matthew Hardie and Thomas Hardie. There is a fee of twelve pounds for attendance. Please book by August 19. This fee includes attendance at the Colloquium papers sessions, also morning and afternoon refreshments. It does not include lunch or the concert which follows the Colloquium.
Please complete the Booking Form as soon as possible if you wish to attend the Colloquium. This form can be also be used to book for the Scottish Violin Concerts.
Payment may be made by cheque, VISA card, Mastercard / Access card, or Delta card. Cheques must be payable to the University of Edinburgh, made out in pounds sterling, drawn on a U.K. bank.
