This volume of the Catalogue contains the printed photographs and radiographs of instruments acquired by 1990, and is not available electronically.

These illustrations are now supplemented by the Catalogue of the Sir Nicholas Shackleton Collection and the Catalogue of the Frank Tomes Collection.

The volume also contains a concise History of the Collection, and an account of the Methods of Cataloguing.

Descriptions of the instruments are provided in Volume 2 of this Catalogue, Catalogue of the Sir Nicholas Shackleton Collection and the Catalogue of the Frank Tomes Collection.
